Chairman of the Board
Jim Sims has a thirty year track record of success in developing information technology products and companies. He is Chairman and Founder of GEN3 Partners, the global product innovation consulting firm that helps clients solve complex product, process and packaging challenges.
Prior to GEN3, Mr. Sims founded Cambridge Technology Partners, Inc. in 1991 and led the firm to $625 million in annual revenue. CTP was purchased by Novell, Inc. in 2001. Prior to CTP, he founded Concurrent Computer Corp. and built it to $340 million in annual revenue, becoming the preeminent real-time information company under his leadership. Mr. Sims is also Chairman of Specialists On Call, Airgain, Inc., American E-Pay, Inc., Groxis, Inc., GenXL, Inc., and Leveler LLC. He also serves on the boards of EDS and Thru, Inc.
Vice Chairman
Tom Reddy has successfully developed, built, owned and managed nursing homes and assisted living centers in residential communities throughout the Midwestern United States. He is a recognized industry leader with nearly 30 years of hands-on experience in the residential health care industry. He has served as President of the National Foundation for the Advancement of Elder and Disabled Care. He is a past-President of the Kansas Health Care Association and has served in a variety of governance capacities for the American Health Care Association, representing over 5,000 independent owners of senior housing communities in 48 states.
Chief Executive Officer
James Sims has over 18 years experience in technology sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions and venture capital. Mr. Sims was the Founder and CEO of GenXL, LLC, a company specializing in identifying intellectual property from remote parts of the world for commercialization in the United States. Prior to GenXL, Mr. Sims was the Vice President of Corporate Business Development at Cambridge Technology Partners, as well as a member of the Investment Committee of Cambridge Technology Capital Fund. Mr. Sims is a member of the board of directors of Connections365, GenXL, Airgain, Inc., Insero Pty. Ltd., and EnGen.
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Christopher Barnard served as the Medical Director of the Stanford Telemedicine Program from 1994-1997. He is currently developing non-invasive technologies for the diagnosis of skin diseases and glucose monitoring in diabetes. His clinical training in Internal Medicine and Dermatology was completed at Case Western Reserve University and Stanford University. Dr. Barnard is an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine where he teaches skin cancer surgery and is a research advisor in the Bio-X Biomedical Engineering Program. He also maintains a private dermatology practice in Monterey, California.
Chief Operations Officer
Gilbert Cruz CPFT, RRT, MPA is a recognized advocate for residents in long-term care settings. His background includes advanced respiratory therapy, long-term care administration, health consultation, and advocacy work. Recently, he served as the state long-term care ombudsman of Kansas protecting the rights of nearly 28,000 seniors. During that time, he led a task force to bring culture change to Kansas Veterans Homes. He is a registered respiratory therapist with a certification in pulmonary function testing and a specialty in neonatal/pediatric therapy. Mr. Cruz is proficient in outreach initiatives for seniors and is a leader in aging issues.
Clinical Operations Director
Tammie Freitag, RN, BSN has a broad background in critical care, telehealth research and healthcare management. She has prepared and presented ANA accredited Continuing Nursing Education. She worked in conjunction with The University of Colorado’s Proactive Integrated eHealth Service Program for people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease as a Care Coordinator and then as the Program Coordinator. She worked extensively providing education to healthcare providers in evidence-based management of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Product Manager
Ryan Reddy developed his entrepreneurial passion working (and interning during college) for three San Francisco-based startups. Upon graduating from the University of San Francisco with a BA in Business Administration, he helped develop and launch the internet sales department for Dan Gamel, Inc. Following Dan Gamel, Inc., Mr. Reddy continued to cultivate his sales skills and experience while working as an Account Executive at San Francisco-based Yelp Inc.
Director Quality and Data Management
Anita Pearson MD MRCGP MSC. Health Policy trained as an M.D. in the United Kingdom and worked there as a primary care physician (General Practitioner - GP) A major part of the GP role in the UK National Health Service is the ongoing management of chronic health issues for patients. In addition in that role she built experience of evidence based practice. She has an MSc. in Health Policy and is currently studying for a MA in Bioethics from the University of Wisconsin. Anita sits on the Ethics Committees of two hospitals on the Central Coast of California. Anita was recently responsible for the implementation of a telehealth program in a home health care agency, giving her the practical experience of the challenges of implementing these systems.
